Nowadays, we are in a polarized country where telling the truth is so hard, just being honest about your politics beliefs means that you are going to be on the battle field. That is why the people find ways around the truth, like me. I do not tell the truth all the time about how I feel regarding the Santos's administration just because I am going to be call “Castro-Chavista" ( a made-up word that they use to underestimate ideas), so most of the people like me have to hide from the truth. Don´t take this the wrong way, is not that I do not see the problems on him it´s just that after all he leave a legacy ending a five-decade war.
 Now is the time to be brave and speak our minds and stop thinking about the consequences of it, because if we do, we never going to see the country that we want and we deserved. With that I don´t mean that they are wrong about him, I just mean that perhaps I am right.

    For me, Santos is someone who definitely doesn´t practice parrehsia at all, he is always saying whats best for him and tries to convince us. He is always saying that he wants peace, but for me its not peace, for me he only wants to help the ones that can help him back. But with his intelligent speeches he is the Nobel Price.

    I totally agree with you Juan, is quite hard to practice parrhesia in a country like Colombia where the price to say the truth is die, so we don’t have any option, its to keep on silence or tell what we are thinking and pray to be lucky.

    I don´t see why he feels proud, if he made the country more insecure with the supposed peace agreement, he increased the external debt damaging the economy, and other situations that caused social, economic, and industrial decline. The problem is that telling the truth in a country with divided opinions becomes almost impossible, because it's choosing between living or dying.

    i think that santos had good intentionswith the peace agreement, but the lies did not let it look that way, and dealing with these kind of people is very hard. i think that he wanted to see a great country but he just couldn´t make it happen. and i do agree with juan being honest and always saying the truth in colombia is very hard and even more in politics

    I believe that the two governments of Juan Manuel Santos were a bet between the popular and the right thing to do in the country, I believe that the legacy of the peace process is something too difficult to understand in a country that has been submerged in 50 years of war, and I think that more understanding was lacking, understanding for that process that contributes so much to the country, beyond a peace process is the transformation that can be lived, I believe that Juan Manuel Santos made very good international relations and left the country very well positioned, obviously had many bad things but in my case it remains with the image of good president

    I’m in totally disagree, because a lot of public figures as “pirry”, “vicky Davila” in Colombia are showing us the use of pharresia no matter the consequences, they become into the enemy of many powerful politicians and busynessman, they received many death threats, and they still doing his job following his goals ... showing the truth. So we can’t not allowed get Ivaded by the fear and always said truth.
    For me the Santos legate is for clap, just is the only person who can finish an interminable war of 20 years , obviously his job was not perfect , but for me , thanks to him the world has a diffrent , I mean a better vision of Colombia .
